StarBridge

Bridge from Optimism to Polygon

Use StarBridge to check available cross-chain routes between Optimism and Polygon. The live bridge interface determines which assets and routes are currently available.

Check the live route

Before approving a transaction, review the source network, destination network, asset, estimated output, network costs and route details shown in the live quote.

Non-custodial wallet flow

StarBridge provides an interface for connecting your wallet and reviewing a route. You approve transactions from your own wallet rather than depositing funds into a StarBridge custodial account.

Fees and completion time

Cross-chain costs can include source-network gas, destination execution costs and route or liquidity-provider fees. Estimated completion time depends on the selected route and current blockchain conditions.

About Optimism

OP Mainnet (Optimism) is an Ethereum layer-2 network and the origin of the OP Stack that other layer-2 networks, including Base, build on.

About Polygon

Polygon PoS is an EVM-compatible network commonly used for low-cost transfers and apps. Its gas token is POL, formerly MATIC.

Gas you will need

Optimism fees are paid in ETH and Polygon fees are paid in POL (formerly MATIC). You need ETH on Optimism to send the transaction, and you will want some POL (formerly MATIC) on Polygon to move or use the funds after they arrive. Some routes can include a small amount of destination gas, so check the quote.
